Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wilderness is a necessity; and that mountain parks and reservations are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers, but as fountains of life.
There's a great post about how to spot nature in urban areas with kids over at the Go Explore Nature blog. It's a great blog in general and well worth a look. I especially like the end of Monday's post: "Don't forget to take a second look now and again at the things right under your nose. You never know what you might discover!" How very true.
